Measuring Learning Effectiveness & ROI

Measuring training effectiveness is a gap area for many organisations’ today. Although huge investments are made in learning and development, the benefits of these initiatives are not always realised. More over in today’s dynamic and competitive business landscape there is a constant need to re-evaluate and adapt training efforts so that they remain relevant for the future.

Return on investment helps in quantifying the learning outcome or improvement in employee performance to organisational outcomes. It also helps in understanding if the investment in learning is actually making a difference to the organisation / business outcome.

The SHRM India Knowledge Center recently held a Chat on “Measuring Learning Effectiveness & ROI” on 21st November, 2012 with Subject Matter Experts, Joseph George A- Partner, Workplace Catalysts LLP and Sabitha Rao- Director, Cerebrus Consultants.

During the chat, our experts provided valuable insights into:

  • Importance and key concepts in measuring learning effectiveness
  • Evaluation methodologies and designs
  • Determining Return on Investment in Training
  • Challenges in evaluating learning and calculating ROI
  • Current practices in India on evaluating learning and determining ROI

In case you missed this insightful chat, please Click here to access the Chat Transcript.
