Lunesta vs Bikers & Truckers

Posted: 21 Sep 2013 02:14 PM PDT

James in the comment section of my last post about Canadian and American truckers shutting down the country via a three day strike asked "the" most important question of the day.

Why don't they shut down DC and the Beltway instead? Why hurt average Americans when it's Washington that's the problem?

The answer to the question is, it is not government that is the problem. It is We, The People.

Government did not make America the strongest and most prosperous country the world has ever known - the people did. Somewhere along the way we got distracted and forgot that this ol '68 Chevy has to have proper maintenance to keep her running right. Love is not enough. We slept aided/distracted by a group of people who revere power and control more than life. What DC has become over time is the unintended consequences of our lack of attention to detail.

Danny Jeffrey in his essay Spreading Terror Near And Far said -

Some tell us that our country is on the verge of collapse. I disagree. It has already collapsed, caved in upon itself, and is no more than fallen rubble. A nation's collapse need not wait for economic ruin, military invasion, or civil war to begin. A great nation is finished when its people forsake their morality as ours have already done. When they follow blindly, choose to consume while not producing, and feed on hatred, then they as a people, are no more.

I agree with him. America has hit rock bottom. AND - the bikers who hit DC last week are part of the Phoenix rising. "I have died a thousand deaths, each time rising from the ashes with more fire and less naivety...." Author unknown.

The bikers led the way for the truckers who have the potential to make an even greater impact because as said before - there is nothing that will awaken the average person more than that moment they go to the grocery store and have a very personal WTF moment and finally realize it isn't government that makes the ol 409 hum - it is bikers and truckers and the James' - the people - who will become the Phoenix rising from the ashes. As it was meant to be.

AND, it is very important to understand - government will not have come this far just to give up the fight!

Eat, drink, be merry and keep taking your Lunesta, for tomorrow there will be no pay. Promise. Hussein Obama

Scientists discover gene that triggers 'memory extinction'

Posted: 21 Sep 2013 09:24 AM PDT

Brain memory.jpg

Remember all those dumb things you did when you were young that you'd like to forget you did? Have an ex-wife that's so aggravating you'd give anything to completely forget she even exists? Want to forget that you were dumb enough to vote for Barack Obama ... not just once, but twice? Are you a veteran with PTSD and would give anything to replace those hellish memories with more pleasant ones? Well, some day that may be possible.

[...] Researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) say the discovery could help people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by replacing "fearful" memories with more positive associations.

The gene, Tet1, has been found to play a critical role in memory extinction by controlling a small group of other genes that are necessary for the process. ...

Read more here.

Don't look to see this new discovery reach the treatment stage anytime soon. In years past it often took the FDA around 7 years or so to approve a new drug. In the case of this new gene discovery, much research still needs to be done, then a drug developed to activate it, then it goes to the FDA for approval. Even if the FDA agrees to fast-track the drug ... which it probably would for PTSD, it's still years away before we'll see a drug in the market that affects the Tet1 gene, if then.

However, while we're on the topic of brains, here's a couple of brain images to think about (click image to enlarge):

Canadian and American Truckers Shutting it DOWN!

Posted: 21 Sep 2013 05:09 AM PDT

Since 2008 I have been saying most Americans won't do a damn thing about the problems in this country until it hits them personally! Far, far better for America to see what empty shelves look like after a three day trucker strike than what it is going to look like for a very long time if our economy collapses!

Truckers to Shut Down America

The American people are sick and tired of the corruption that is destroying America! We therefore declare a GENERAL STRIKE on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013! Truck drivers will not haul freight! Americans can strike in solidarity with truck drivers! Go HERE and support!

Canadian Truckers To Shut Down

A lot of questions are being asked as to why this is happening. I honestly can't believe people need to ask what's wrong with the trucking industry! Fuel prices.... An avg fuel price if $1.28 per liter, or almost $6.00 per gallon. Safety..... These two day trucking schools in toronto need to be shut down A.S.A.P. Truckers being treated worse than dogs. And also to show support to our American colleagues because what happens there will surely affect us. Continue HERE.

Uh oh - Study finds statins increase risk of cataracts

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 07:14 PM PDT

Statins_2378444b.jpg

Statins have been heralded as a wonder drug and are used by millions for preventing and treating atherosclerosis that causes chest pain, heart attacks, strokes, and intermittent claudication (impairment in walking, or pain, discomfort or tiredness in the legs) in individuals who have or are at risk for atherosclerosis, but according to the results of a new study ... statins could increase the risk of cataracts. The research calls into question whether everyone over the age of 50 should be prescribed statins, as some healthcare professionals suggest:

Those taking the low-cost medication could be 27 per cent more likely to develop the condition, which leads to cloudy lenses, the researchers discovered.
Older people are particularly vulnerable as they make up the majority of statin users and cataract patients, the Daily Mail reported.

The medical records of more than 14,000 people, covering a period of more than eight years, were examined by researchers in the US.

Half of the patients had used statins for at least three months and the other half had never taken the drug.

Those who took statins had a 27 per cent increased risk of developing cataracts, which require surgery to prevent blindness, even when other factor such as high blood pressure were accounted for.

Actually, the problem with statin drugs is actually worse than just increasing the risk of cataracts. A study in the journal Atherosclerosis shows that statin use is associated with a 52 percent increased prevalence and extent of calcified coronary plaque compared to non-users. None of the participants in the study - 6,673 in all - had any known coronary artery disease at the time of undergoing coronary CT angiography (CCTA) - a non-invasive method that allows you to see coronary atherosclerotic features, including plaque composition. Arterial plaque is a hallmark of cardiovascular disease and increases your risk of all-cause mortality, so clearly, anything that increases calcification and stiffening of your arteries is wisely avoided. And statins seem to fall into this category.

So,here's a word of advice; if you're on a statin drug, you MUST take at least 100-200 mg of ubiquinol (reduced form of CoQ10) per day to help reduce statin-induced side effects. I use it (200 mg per day), and I've found that the best deal for a high quality Ubiquinol is Qunol Mega CoQ10 Softgels, 100 Mg, 120 Count purchased on Amazon. You'll find a pretty decent review of the top rated Ubiquinol supplements here.

(Caution: Ubiquinol is likely to reduce blood pressure. If you're taking BP drugs you may find that your blood pressure somewhat normalizes, sometimes to the extent of allowing you to significantly reduce your medication - as I've been able to do. And as is always the case ... check with your doctor before taking any alternative medication)

And while we're talking about natural alternatives to statins (or natural substances that help combat the side effects of statins and/or complement them), The Washington Examiner has has an extensive article reporting that scientists have touted the heart health benefits of full-spectrum pomegranate extract and its ability to actually reverse arterial stenosis ... which can also be found at a reasonable price on Amazon.

Discovery of new gene may prevent spread of HIV

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 06:36 PM PDT

T4andHIV.jpg

According to a study published in the journal Nature, scientists have discovered a new gene that may have the ability to prevent human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from spreading once it enters the body,

Researchers from King's College London in the UK say the gene, called MX2, could lead to new effective and less toxic treatment against HIV - the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

[...] On observing the effects, the researchers found that in the cells in which the MX2 gene was expressed, the HIV virus was unable to replicate, therefore stopping new viruses from being produced.

More here.

Although it has previously been thought that HIV would increase in virulence as it passed through an increasing number of human hosts, a 2005 study by a team at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, in Antwerp suggested that the opposite is actually true:

(...)"What appears to be happening is that by the time HIV passes from one person to another, it has already toned down some of its most pathogenic effects in response to its host's immune system," ...

(...)"So the virus that is passed on is less 'fit' each time. ...

(...)"This would suggest that over several generations, HIV could become less harmful to its human hosts.

If the results reported from both studies are correct, that the virus actually weakens as it passes from host to host, and that the discovery of the MX2 gene can lead to new effective and less toxic treatment against HIV, does this means we may be well on the way to ending the AIDs epidemic as this website suggests? After all, each and every step toward combination prevention and treatment juxtaposed with attenuation of the virus makes this all the more possible.

Jaw dropping stupidity? - White House: Iran's positive talk due to sanctions

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 04:06 PM PDT

obama iran facebook.jpg

USA Today reports that a top national security adviser to President Obama apparently believes that newly installed Iranian President Hasan Rouhani's efforts to open diplomatic channels with the United States are due in large part to sanctions the Obama administration has levied against Tehran over its nuclear program.

Please tell me that the Obama administration doesn't actually believe that Iran's efforts to "open diplomatic channels" has anything to do with sanctions (because it absolutely doesn't) or that Iran has even the remotest intention of opening diplomatic channels with the U.S. for any reason other than to delay, delay, delay ... while they continue to buy time to complete the development of their nuclear weapons program ... as they have been doing for years!

Is the Obama administration somehow unaware of Iran's long history of using protracted negotiations as a stalling tactic to buy time as they continue to race toward completing the development of nuclear weapons, or does Obama still actually believe that he can do what the United States and its international partners haven't been able to accomplish in over a decade simply because he is - Barack Obama?

Sadly, we all know the answer to the latter ... in other words we're so so screwed!

Christian Girl Saved By Rescue Christians: Muslims "rapidly raped me and forced me to embrace Islam"

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 03:28 PM PDT

It was just yesterday that we wrote about Barack Obama's National Park Service actually spendingt your hard-earned tax dollars to produce what is nothing less than pro-Islam propaganda videos praising Islam's contributions to women's rights ... rights which, of course, we easily and quickly debunked with numerous examples exposing such propaganda as pure bull sh*t.

Now comes news of yet another female that the National Park Service would choose to omit from their propaganda videos - the story of Tania Rebecca, a young Christian girl from Pakistan, who was kidnapped by Muslims who repeatedly gang raped her and violently pressed her to become Muslim, then sold her to other Muslims who inflicted her with the utmost of wanton cruelty.

Tania recounted her unbearable tortures when she said:

"... they sold me to Muhammad Ismael and Khadim Hussain. Both of them rapidly raped me and tortured me severely. They used to tie me to a tree and rape me. They used to torture me by burning my body with cigarettes, and cut my body with sharp knives ... They had severely tortured me with sharp blades. ... I cannot even explain in front of the camera how badly I was tortured by them in different parts of my body."
There's much more HERE.

A prominent NGO told her that they were going to take her case, but they only used her experience as a marketing story to gain money from sympathizing donors. She eventually received help from Rescue Christians, as she goes on to explains in her own words.

Climategate 2.0: Scientists Pushed To Hide Data

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 01:52 PM PDT

climategate 2.0.jpg
Emails leaked to the AP show the U.S. and other governments pushed scientists preparing a new UN climate report due out next week to omit or downplay evidence that the earth's atmosphere has stopped warming for the past 15 years.

In other words, in the view of government, when the facts don't support its agenda and/or narrative, lie about the facts, change the facts, or hide them altogether.

But this certainly comes as no surprise to us Americans, right? After all, we've been getting a steady dose of this since 2008. We're accustomed to a certain president and his party's "three-step process" that begins with lies, then revises history to fit the desired story, and ends by attacking anyone who dares disagree and speak out. In the case of Climategate II ... we're kinda getting all 3 at once.

Syria: U.S.-backed Free Syrian Army Facing 'Three-Front War'

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 12:03 PM PDT

338-0327200200-syria-rebels.jpg
An al Qaeda spinoff operating near Aleppo, Syria's largest city, last week began a new battle campaign it dubbed "Expunging Filth" -- and their target wasn't the Syrian government ... it was their nominal ally, the U.S.-backed Free Syrian Army. And its not just in the Aleppo are that al-Qaeda rebels are overwhelming U.S-backed rebel forces - all across northern and eastern Syria, units of the jihadist group known as ISIS are seizing territory, both on the battlefield and behind the front lines, from the Western-backed rebels.

[...] Some FSA fighters now consider the extremists to be as big a threat to their survival as the forces of President Bashar al-Assad.

"It's a three-front war," a U.S. official said of the FSA rebels' fight: They face the Assad regime, forces from its Lebanese ally Hezbollah, and now the multinational jihadist ranks of ISIS.

Brigade leaders of the FSA say that ISIS, an Iraqi al Qaeda outfit whose formal name is the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, has dragged them into a battle they are ill-equipped to fight.

Some U.S. officials said they see it as a battle for the FSA's survival.

In recent months, ISIS has become a magnet for foreign jihadists who view the war in Syria not primarily as a means to overthrow the Assad regime but rather as a historic battleground for a larger Sunni holy war. According to centuries-old Islamic prophecy they espouse, they must establish an Islamic state in Syria as a step to achieving a global one. ...

[The] FSA's fight with extremists is spurring new rebel calls for Western help, after the U.S. put on hold what had looked like imminent strikes on the Assad regime. Instead, diplomacy has taken over, after a U.S.-Russian deal to disarm Syria's chemical weapons.

Take the time to read the whole piece.

Undoubtedly, the number of al-Qaeda-linked rebels is large and growing, they are well armed, they are well focused, and they are overwhelming the U.S.-backed forces. Obama's punt to Putin to save his "red-line" credibility is going no where, and the situation that the Free Syrian Army now finds itself in is one of likely going irreversibly downhill. It looks like whatever help the U.S. is now providing may be too little, too late, and regardless of what the U.S. does, the Syrian situation is likely to spread throughout the entire Middle East.

Bottom line, Barack Obama has already lost the Syrian war, probably lost it a year ago when he laid down that "red line" threat without any idea how he'd respond if Assad called his bluff. With Syria going to hell in a handbasket, and the whole Middle East likely to follow, it's time for Obama to follow K.T. McFarland's advice:

Focus on winning the bigger war.

Stop thinking tactically, and start thinking strategically.

Syria may loom large today, just like Iraq, Libya and Egypt have before. But the Middle East wars will not stop with Syria, they are likely to spread throughout the region as oil-fueled Sunnis battle oil-fueled Shiites in country after country for years to come.

The single best thing you could do to improve America's position in the Middle East is what President Kennedy did when the Russians shocked the world by being the first country to send a man into space. In response, Kennedy pledged to land a man on the moon within a decade.

You should pledge America to becoming energy independent by the end of your presidency, and a major oil and natural gas exporter by the end of the decade.

Approve the Keystone Pipeline. Unshackle American energy companies and allow them to develop U.S. resources. American energy independence would mean we no longer need to curry favor with one side or another in the perennial Middle East conflicts.

Becoming the Arab oil countries' biggest competitor means they will be forced to worry about how they are going to meet their own domestic payrolls. They will have neither time nor money left over to pay for terrorists or proxy wars.

Much more here.

Pat Smith, Benghazi Victim's Mom: Obama, Hillary, and Biden 'All Lied to Me' (Video)

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 09:07 AM PDT

Pat Smith, mother of Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith who died in the September 11, 2012, attack on an American consulate in Benghazi, appeared before a congressional committee on Thursday investigating the government's response to that attack. Smith insisted that she was repeatedly lied to by President Barack (Empty suit) Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary (What does it matter, anyway) Clinton, National Security Advisor Susan (Talk show storyteller) Rice, and former Defense Secretary Leon (Talking point) Panetta who all immediately blamed the attack on the spontaneous demonstrations arising in response to a YouTube video. "I was told a few things and they were all lies,"Smith said. "Obama, and Hillary, and Panetta, and Susan [Rice] all came up to me at the casket ceremony -- every one of them came up to me, gave me a big hug -- and I asked them what happened."

"And every one of them says, 'it was the video,' and we all know that it wasn't the video," ... even at that time, they knew it wasn't the video."

"So, they all lied to me,"

"I don't count." "People of America don't count. The only thing that counts is their own selves and their own jobs."

Obama's Speech on Debt Ceiling - The Scariest (and Dumbest) Words We Heard All Week

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 07:28 AM PDT

So, is our president (or 'Stoner-in-Chief') and/or his speechwriter stoned, purposefully making sh*t up, or just effing dumb? Or, all three?

DRUDGE.png

VodkaPundit on Barack Obama (who he rather appropriately refers to as "Professor Ditherton Wiggleroom") saying that raising the debt ceiling does not increase our debt:

So I saw this Drudge headline and figured he must have taken Professor Ditherton Wiggleroom out of context, because there're that stupid, or is that stupid himself. But out of fairness to Drudge, I clicked on the link to see what the Professor had actually said, and here are his actual words:
"Now, this debt ceiling -- I just want to remind people in case you haven't been keeping up -- raising the debt ceiling, which has been done over a hundred times, does not increase our debt; it does not somehow promote profligacy. All it does is it says you got to pay the bills that you've already racked up, Congress. It's a basic function of making sure that the full faith and credit of the United States is preserved"

Obama went on to suggest that "the average person" mistakenly thinks that raising the debt ceiling means the U.S. is racking up more debt:

"It's always a tough vote because the average person thinks raising the debt ceiling must mean that we're running up our debt, so people don't like to vote on it, and, typically, there's some gamesmanship in terms of making the President's party shoulder the burden of raising the -- taking the vote."

[...] ... that speech Wiggleroom gave, that statement he made. It reveals a level of thinking -- if "thinking" isn't too strong a word -- appropriate to a college dorm or the faculty lounge. It is so far removed from reason and reality, that it must have gotten there in one of two ways. There's the short way: Smoke some pot. And the long way: Spend a bunch of years in Ivy League schools being untaught how to think.

Or, I suppose, both.

Although I did just think of a third option, and that is the Professor simply isn't very smart.

Take the time to read the whole thing.

And yes, raising the debt ceiling does indeed increase the debt.

As IBD suggests, the president must think he's talking only to the low-information voters who returned him to office. He's the one who's running up the debt, both in relative and absolute terms. This is fact, not opinion.

[...] When Obama assumed the presidency in 2009, total U.S. debt, after subtracting what the government owes to itself, stood at 52% of GDP. That, economists say, is elevated but manageable. Today it's 73% of GDP, a dangerous level.

And according to new data from the Congressional Budget Committee, based on the added spending the president has put into place -- from misbegotten health reform to failed stimulus to uncontrolled entitlements -- the debt-to-GDP ratio will hit 100% by 2038. The CBO rightly calls this "unsustainable."

As for claiming that raising the debt ceiling doesn't "promote profligacy," please. Runaway spending is the source of our budget problem. The nonpartisan CBO's own estimates say spending will rise from a 40-year average of about 20% of GDP to 26% by 2038 -- a 30% jump in government's share of U.S. output.

So why is Obama saying things that are patently false? With a showdown looming later this month over raising the debt ceiling, he hopes to shut down the government and blame the GOP for it. ...

More here.

One would think that even to low-information voters, a need to increase our National Debt should illustrate our desperate need to reign in government spending. If banks treated personal credit cards the same way the White House wants Congress to treat the National Debt, Lehman Brothers would have been the least of our worries in 2009. And if all American households managed their household budgets as our "Stoner-in-Chief" is managing the federal government ... they'd all be broke and starving.

AUDIENCE: Health Professional, Risk Manager

ISSUE: Baxter International Inc. announced it has initiated a voluntary recall of two lots of its Dual Luer Lock Caps (Product Code 2C6250, Lots 10043 and 10044) because of the presence of loose particulate matter found in the packaging. Particulate matter entering the fluid path from the Luer Lock Caps may result in thrombotic and embolic events, including: pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction and stroke. There have been no reported complaints associated with this issue, however embolic events may not be easily attributed to such particulate matter. The root cause has been identified and resolved. FDA has designated this as a Class I recall.

BACKGROUND: Baxter's Dual Luer Lock Cap is used as a protective cap on access ports on medical devices such as stopcocks or IV sets when not in use. Affected lots were distributed to customers between June 19, 2013, and August 20, 2013.

RECOMMENDATION: Customers should not use product from the two recalled lots and should locate and remove all affected product from their facility. Non-affected lot numbers can continue to be used according to the instructions for use. Affected lots should be returned to Baxter for credit by contacting Baxter Healthcare Center for Service at 1-888-229-0001 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Central Time.

Capitol Hill police probe Navy Yard 'stand-down' charge

Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Terrence Gainer, who oversees the Capitol Police, told the BBC that officials were pulling radio logs from Monday's incident and interviewing the officers involved.

"It's a very serious allegation and inference to indicate that we were on scene and could have helped and were told to leave," he said. "It crushes me if that's the case."

The Capitol Hill Police's elite Containment & Emergency Response Team, or CERT, is based just a few blocks from the Navy Yard, law enforcement sources told WUSA-9 TV. Barack Obama Appoints Hamas Supporter Who Called Israelis Nazis to 'Commisision on Religious Freedom'

James Zogby called Hezbollah "the Lebanese armed resistance", defended Hamas supporters and urging understanding Hamas. He was less understanding toward Jews calling Israelis "Nazis" and accusing Israel of perpetrating a Holocaust against the PLO.

'Illegal Alien': A term you will not hear about Atlanta kidnapping perp

Posted: 19 Sep 2013 06:31 PM PDT

Juan-Alberto-Contreras-Ramirez.jpg

One of the perpetrators was Juan Alberto Contreras-Ramirez, who uses the alias Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez. He has a prior drug arrest in the United States which was dismissed by a court because of the failure to obtain a search warrant. He stayed in the country after that prior arrest. Yes, he's a 'Mexican national', and he's being held by ICE for "being in the country illegally."

In other words, Juan Alberto Contreras-Ramirez, alias Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, is ... you guessed it ... an ILLEGAL ALIEN.

That is very relevant to the story, but as Professor William Jacobson points out over at Legal Insurrection ... that is a term you will not hear in the mainstream media.

The Associated Press and numerous other media outlets have banned the terms "illegal alien" or "illegal immigrant" after a relentless campaign by immigration activists who illogically claimed the terms were racist, and who want to soften the reality of crime committed by people in the country illegally.

The recent kidnapping and rescue of a teenager in Atlanta demonstrates how the media is wording around the term, and diminishing the facts by making it unclear if the perpetrator was in the country illegally.

More here.

And, by the way, don't bother asking Professor Jacobson why THE ILLEGAL ALIEN Juan Alberto Contreras-Ramirez, alias Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez was not deported after his involvement in drug trafficking was known (He has a prior drug arrest in the United States which was dismissed by a court because of the failure to obtain a search warrant.) ... ask Obama!

After 5 Years of Obama: 16 Stats That Destroy Any Liberal's Claim That Our Economy Is Healthy

Posted: 19 Sep 2013 02:51 PM PDT

Via Emily Hulsey at Independent Journal:

When it comes to whether the economy has recovered from the Great Recession, many Americans are optimistic. After all, consumers are spending more, there are fewer home foreclosures, and an average of 180,000 jobs were added each month in 2013; all of these are good signs. But what about the other aspects of the economy, like the length of unemployment or the national debt? Are they back to where they were in 2008, before the recession? Here are 16 stats that show that our economy still has a long way to go before it can truly be considered healthy again.

National Park Service Produces Videos Praising Islam's Contributions To Women's Rights

Posted: 19 Sep 2013 01:16 PM PDT

You read the title correctly, your eyes did not deceive you. Barack Obama's National Park Service actually spent your hard-earned tax dollars to produce what is essentially pro-Islam propaganda videos. They hired a media person to visit the AnNur Islamic School in Schenectady, NY and got "the real truth about Islam."

And yes, as you might imagine, what that obviously gullible and naive media person (an/or one with an assigned agenda) put out will utterly astound you, making you wonder what planet he or she has been living on.

Via Soopermexican at Independent Journal:

From the National Park Service official website:
People think that Islam oppresses women and there's no equality, but they're wrong - there's equity. ... 7th century A.D. Islam gave women the right to be involved in politics, the right to earn and keep her own money. Islam gave women the right to work outside of the home, Islam gave women the right to own property, Islam gave women the right to divorce, Islam gave women the right to choose who she marries. Islam gave women a whole bunch of rights that Western women acquired later in the 19th and 20th centuries and we've had these rights since the 7th century A.D. and it's just not acknowledged worldwide.
It's fantastic that the National Park Service is out there using taxpayer dollars to correct the false record against Muslims, such as the "moderate" Muslim Brotherhood's scathing backlash against the UN's Declaration on Women's Rights. Or Muslim states' objection to "gay rights" at a UN human rights forum - we wouldn't want these countries to be confused with Vladimir Putin's Russia, for Allah's sake!

And if you happen to be Muslim, it not like there's anything wrong with that. Ok then. Here's a second film about Muslims!

And here's a third:

[...] Well thank goodness the National Park Service is doing the job that no one else will - defend the history of Islam's contributions to Women's liberation!

Apparently Obama's National Park Service was so intent on coming up with pro-Muslim propaganda they didn't consider going to YouTube and getting the real truth about Islam and women ... for free, as in this clip titled 'The Inconvenient Truth About Islam From an Ex-Muslim Woman':

Or this one from a Muslim women who refuses to be stopped from telling the truth about Islam:

And Obama's National Park Service also somehow missed interviewing defiant Pakistani schoolgirl who was shot in the head by the Taliban for speaking out in favor of girls being educated and calling for greater women's rights:

Or Obama's National Park Service could have put up this video about wife beating in Islam that says only a rod will help, or this video of Atefah who was executed at the age of 16 for the crime of being abused and raped by a member of Iran's Republican Guard, or this video of Egyptian Women's Rights Activist Iqbal Baraka who compares Islamic Movements to Nazism ... but as in all of these I've pointed out here ... the National Park Service would have done so only if their objective wasn't for the purpose of pro-Muslim propaganda.

A Word to the Wise

Guest post by Dr. Robert Owens.

The most insidious result that central-planning and the overabundance of government control that it requires is not the maladjustments that it inevitably creates in the economy. It is not the crony capitalism and bureaucratic nepotism that it always fosters. It is not the smothering blanket of nanny-state regulations that strangle creativity. It is not even the tendency to one-party rule even when camouflaged behind a two party system that is in reality two heads of the same bird of prey. It is not a system which may actually contain only two parties if you believe there is the government party and the country party.

No none of these missteps on the way to an illusionary utopia are the most insidious result of any system no matter what it is called that is some variation on the socialist theme of "From each according to their ability and to each according to their need." Instead the most insidious result of the effort by some to control all is a change in the character of the people.

When government regulation becomes an all-embracing web of minutia that requires lawyers, accountants, and other translators of government-speak to comprehend, when safety-nets become hammocks, and when the do-gooders believe that they know what is best for everyone reaches a tipping point people begin to expect others to do for them what they used to do for themselves. A nation of self-reliant, go-getters can be changed into a sea of slugs on the dole constantly crying and voting for more.

The descendants of the pilgrims and the pioneers are content to wait for their government check and their food stamps as long as there is a game on their flat screen and minutes left on their obamaphone. Militant apathy has ossified the sinews of a once great people. So many people don't care about anything beyond their creature comforts, the most basic of which are guaranteed, that the will to succeed has been squashed.

When you guarantee success and everyone gets a trophy just for showing up few will strive to do more than is required. When success is punished by the ridicule of the media and the inequality of government policies such as a progressive income tax that says, "The more you make the more we take" few will strive to do more than is required. When college entrance quotas and set-asides say, "We don't seek the best and the brightest we look at race and gender to pick the winners and losers" few will strive to do more than is required. When government subsidies and tax-breaks say, "If you have connections the government will hold back the crushing reality of the market at tax-payers' expense" few will strive to do more than is required.

In America today we are surrounded by low-information voters who either don't pay any attention to affairs beyond their life or who get their news exclusively from the Progressive controlled Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media. Their opinions are scripted for them by the progressive group-think of corporate hacks constantly building a narrative to advance their utopian agenda. If it doesn't fit it doesn't print. If they don't like what you say it will never play. America's once dynamic free press transformed into a one-sided monologue reciting over and over, "Government knows best."

Our government controlled and increasingly standardized education system works hard to say as some of my students have; "a 'D' is good enough." Or, "At our school we receive an attendance diploma it just means we were there it don't mean we learned anything." Assignments such as I witnessed in a 12th grade Political Science class, "Watch Michael Moore's film, 'Fahrenheit 9/11' and then write an essay on how many ways Bush lied to trick us into invading Iraq" show indoctrination has in many places swallowed education. Circumstances such as these tend to stifle those who would drive innovation and promote those who are just along for the ride, pass the mediocre while holding back the brilliant.

We have moved from a capitalist system to a mixed economy and now under a president who promised to fundamentally transform America we are lurching into a socialist system in all but name that seeks to ensure equality of result instead of the equal opportunity which has traditionally been the seedbed of America's meritocracy. We have transitioned from a small limited government, a representative republic that operates on democratic principles into an all-powerful central government that operates through a massive bureaucracy. Executive orders are used to make end-runs around Congress and the Constitution. Unconstitutional and illegal recess appointments are used to avoid the scrutiny of a Senate confirmation. Our borders are for all intents and purposes open like an automatic door at Wal-Mart. Forgetting what Ronald Reagan told us, "A nation without borders is not a nation."

Norman Thomas, an early Socialist candidate for President said, "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." And as Lenin said, "Socialized Medicine is the Keystone to the Arch of the Socialist State."

Step-by-step we have journeyed from being a people birthed in rebellion against tyranny, a people who founded the world's first experiment in a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Until a nation founded upon a written constitution which guaranteed limited-government, personal liberty, and economic freedom has become just another failed utopia that is spending itself into oblivion as the band plays, "let the good times roll."

At a time like this it is good to remember some of the wisdom of those who have gone before:

Noah Webster said, "There is no nation on earth powerful enough to accomplish our overthrow. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government."

Alexis de Tocqueville said, "The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money."

Benjamin Franklin said, "When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic."

Barry Goldwater said, "A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away."

AND

Alexander Tyler said, "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

A word to the wise they say is sufficient.

Nationwide mandatory "experimental" vaccinations? Psyops?

Posted: 19 Sep 2013 08:11 AM PDT

From the first video below:

The Office of the Assistance Secretary for Preparedness and Response [ASPR] just released a Medical Counter Measures (MCM) document in which they indicate they are planning to give all 300 million Americans TWO experimental adjuvant laced H7N9 vaccinations.

ASPR - "Strategic goals" include - Provide pandemic vaccine to all U.S. citizens within 6 (or less) months of a pandemic declaration; pandemic vaccine (600 M doses)

The below government solicitations for medical items and services are very real folks. The videos are well documented and links directly to the bid requests are in the "about" area under the actual video or at the video producers web site. The solicitations refer to the H7N9 virus.

In March of this year health officials warned of "Deadly infections with bacteria that resist even the strongest antibiotics." Earlier this week another warning about an antibiotic-resistant superbug.

Hear those drum beats? I could swear they are saying - The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Quoting a friend in the medical field - "An increase in superbugs is for real and certainly not to be taken lightly ... which is not to say that some folks couldn't be going a bit overboard or being a bit alarmist."

Something we all have to be concerned over? Or just more governmental intrusive alarmism - dare I say potentially one hell of a diversion?

I'll leave you with one more video as food for thought as your mind envisions two giant syringe filled mandatory "experimental" vaccinations.

Prevention and Control of Seasonal Influenza with Vaccines: Recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization
Practices — United States,
2013–2014

This report updates the 2012 recommendations by CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) regarding the use of influenza vaccines for the prevention and control of seasonal influenza. Routine annual influenza vaccination is recommended for all persons aged ≥6 months. For the 2013–14 influenza season, it is expected that trivalent live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV3) will be replaced by a quadrivalent LAIV formulation (LAIV4). Inactivated influenza vaccines (IIVs) will be available in both trivalent (IIV3) and quadrivalent (IIV4) formulations. Vaccine virus strains included in the 2013–14 U.S. trivalent influenza vaccines will be an A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)–like virus, an H3N2 virus antigenically like the cell-propagated prototype virus A/Victoria/361/2011, and a B/Massachusetts/2/2012–like virus. Quadrivalent vaccines will include an additional influenza B virus strain, a B/Brisbane/60/2008–like virus, intended to ensure that both influenza B virus antigenic lineages (Victoria and Yamagata) are included in the vaccine. This information is intended for vaccination providers, immunization program personnel, and public
health personnel.
