Qiqihar

Arranged in the northwest of Heilongjiang Province, Qiqihar is the movement center of western Heilongjiang. It neighbors Jilin to the south and Inner Mongolia to the west. The city is found in the Songnen Plain, and the landscape slants descending from the north to the south. It lies at the south foot of the Lesser Xing'an Mountain (Xiao Xing'an Ling), and its south and focal part are alluvial fields.

Qiqihar City is the second biggest city of Heilongjiang Province, which is the financial and social focal point of the western piece of Heilongjiang. Qiqihar was assigned to be one of the 13 biggest urban communities of China by State Council in 1984.

The region revels in a calm mainland rainstorm atmosphere at a high height, the spring is dry and blustery, and summer is hot and stormy. The fall is shorter and the winter is crisp and long.

It is a popular nature save for winged animal fowl with a range of 210,000 hectares (2,100 sq kilometers). Presumed as the town of the cranes, it pulls in two hundred and ninety-six types of feathered creatures altogether, with the cranes being the biggest in number.
