Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha pass Trekking

The Rolwaling trek is one of the wilderness treks of Nepal. Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha trek is a wonderful opportunity to experience the remoteness of this region, romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna, rich local cultures and challenging adventure. This trek requires a good walking experience and a good physical experience. There is a technical route in the Tashi Lapcha Pass. One should acquire a peak climbing permit for this route. It is believed that this deep valley was named “Rolwaling “by the Sherpa community “which means the grave due to its inclined steep location lapped between the steep ice-giants of the Khumbu region. The Rolwaling trek provides an opportunity to get extraordinary glimpses of Mt. Gaurishankar Rolwaling Himal, Chobabhamre, Dorje Lakpa, Yalung RI and Pachharmo peak. The villages of Na (4,183m), Tso Rolpo lakes are the main attractions during this trekking trail journey.

This magnificent trek near the Tibetan border starts in Barabise, passes Tinsang la pass and descends Bigu Gomba which houses Buddhist nuns. The trail descendsBhotekosi River and turns into the Rolwaling valley, one of the most remote, mysterious, and fascinating places in the trek. There is a Great nunnery Gompa called Bigu Gompa. There are more than 300nuns. Two festivals are celebrated in a year in this place like manirimdu in Tengboche Gompa in Kumbu region. In Sherpa Language Biku means "Seed". There is Sherpa village. View of Gaurishankar (7,145m), Melungtse (7,181m) and other mountains,good landscapes; the village of Beding (3,690m) and monastery, the land is full of the tales of the yeti, the elusive snow man in the world and it is the place where some mountaineers arranged expedition to hunt yetis in the past. Beding is the last permanent settlement & Na Gaun which is only the summer settlement of the Sherpa community, is the highest altitude reached in the trek. We cross the Tashi (Tesi) Lapcha Pass (5755 m) and then descend to the Khumbu Valley by visiting Thame, Tenzin Norgay's hometown. Continuing along the Sherpa headquarters of Namche Bazar and then to Lukla, we fly to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Day 03: Drive Dolakha(1660m),6hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 04: Trek to Singati (950m),6hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 05: Trek to Jagat (1150m),6hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 06: Trek to Simigaon (1990m) 6hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 07: Trek to Dong Kharka (3000m) 5hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 08: Trek to Beding (3690meters) 6hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 09: Beding- Rest Day for Acclimatization
Day 10: Trek to Na (4180m) 4hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 11: Trek to Tsho Rolpa Lake (4540m) 4hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 12: Rest day at Tsho Rolpa Lake
Day 13: Trek to Khabu Glacier (4700m) 7hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 14: Trek to Tasi Lapcha Phedi (5200m),6hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 15: Trek to crossing over Tashi Lapcha pass (5755m)  and trek down to Phedi ( 4800m),6hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 16: Trek to Thame (3820m),5hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3480m),5hrs. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla (2795m),7hrs. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 19: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu in the morning. Overnight at hotel.
Day 20: Leisure day in Kathmandu Overnight at hotel.
Day 21: Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.
